If there's any doubt that Adrien is a Senti-Monster theory is true, this episode probably squashes it by showing Gabriel pulling on his ring every time he orders Adrien to do something. Culminating in him as Shadow Moth pulling on the ring inside his glove to get Adrien to submit to akumatization.
- Furthermore, Akumatized villains have always been shown to be Not Brainwashed and only had their inhibitions lowered but Adrien as Ephemeral genuinely had no free-will.
- If that was the case, however, why was Adrien able to resist him in "Cat Blanc"? (in the scene before he Cataclysmed pretty much the whole of Paris). Admittedly, I don't remember who had the family ring at the time, was it originally in the possession of Gabriel, or Adrien's aunt?
