- The trailer footage seems to indicate that this is leading on from The Stinger with Winston restarting the team after Egon’s passing.
- Confirmed by Ray outright stating that Egon has a granddaughter and directly name dropping Phoebe.
- A later story DLC ends with Winston mentioning that the Spenglers will be dropping by for a visit later on and Ray saying that he'll be having a summer intern soon, implying that Podcast will appear too.
There will be plenty of Easter Eggs
Like how the previous game had things you could collect to decorate the firehouse but due to the different set up, the things you'll find will instead unlock cosmetics for your ghost or Ghostbuster character.- One part of the refurbished firehouse will have a memorial to Egon.
