Na'toth and a Spring Flower

"A Tragedy of Telepaths". Londo and G'kar discover the latter's former aide Na'toth forgotten in a prison cell in the Centauri imperial palace, a full year after the withdrawal of the Centauri from the Narn homeworld. Londo theorizes -- to G'kar's fury -- that she was imprisoned on the order of the late Emperor Cartagia, who then promptly forgot about her and so never ordered her released. He relates a story from his childhood of seeing a guard still stationed in an empty courtyard for no reason, simply because a princess two centuries earlier posted a guard on the first flower of spring and then never rescinded the order.
