Trivia / Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection

Go To

  • Acclaimed Flop: The game (both in original Japanese release and its western Steam release) was very critically acclaimed by critics and players alike. However, the game was an unfortunate casualty of Japanese gaming market switch from PC systems to PlayStation systems. As a result, the game sold extremely poorly in Japan. This caused Falcolm to not only cancelled future plans to make and release Zwei games (which, judged by its backstory, probably would have at least 6 games in the series. Tokyo Xanadu is usually being seen as the Spiritual Successor for the Zwei series), but to drop PC release altogether. (All future PC version of Falcom games are ports made by foreign distribution company such as XSeed.)
