• Follow the Leader: Like many other fics, this one was inspired by the Total Shuffled Island Series.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Cameron, Lightning, and Tyler had different eliminations in Island before they were finalized;
    • For "The Big Sleep", Cameron was considered for being the first Gopher to fall asleep and Tyler would've been a result of breaking Jo's whistle before it was decided the Killer Bass would lose, thus leading to Lightning's elimination at Scott's hands.
    • Had Tyler been eliminated in the previous episode, Lightning would've been axed in "Dodgebrawl".
  • Harold and Sammy's S1 eliminations were also swapped; Harold was meant to be eliminated in "Up the Creek" for burning the oars while Sammy would've been mauled by a bear and medivacked in "Paintball Deer Hunter". They were swapped because it wasn't beneficial to Sammy's Character Development.
  • Aya wasn't sure if Dawn should leave in either "Basic Straining" or "X-Treme Torture", but went with the former to mirror her canon-ROTI elimination.
  • "Brunch of Disgustingness" was going to end with Ella not eating the dolphin weiner allowing the boys to win, but having Jo changed that. The boys were going to win either way, though.
  • After returning, Lightning would've gone in "Search and Do Not Destroy", but was kicked off in "No Pain, No Gain" like Eva was because Aya didn't know how to write his character.
