• Creator Killer: The film was such a flop that it bankrupted the studio behind it. It's also been claimed to be a literal creator killer according to more than one source. The director, Larry Semon, filed for bankruptcy and was under a lot of stress. Stress lowers your immune system. Semon died of tuberculosis and pneumonia three years after the film's release.
