Trivia / The Condemned (1976)

• Directed by Cast Member: Directed by David Chiang, who has a starring role as the Plucky Comic Relief sidekick.
• Playing Against Type: For Tsai Hung, who usually plays villains or bit roles in Shaw Brothers' films.
• What Could Have Been / Missing Episode: There was supposed to be a follow-up to this film, titled The Whirlwind Kick with David Chiang returning to direct (Chiang may or may not reprise his role in The Condemned, but he will have more fight scenes). Unfortunately due to scheduling issues and behind-the-scenes problems, the follow-up never happens and any existing footage of the film is now a Missing Episode (Chiang is shown fighting Ku Feng and Pai Ying - two frequent Shaw villain actors - in promotional stills, but sadly that's all there is).
• Similarly Named Works: Not related to The Condemned (2007), a Steve Austin film.
