• Defictionalization: The unusual library the protagonist works in, in which people submit their own books, became reality in 1990. Located in Burlington, Vermont, the Brautigan Library (as it was named) received nearly 400 original works before closing in 2001. You can still visit it at the Clark county Historical Museum.
