** By WordOfGod, Space Battleship Yamato 2199 was requested previously, but was shelved because it isn't a HumongousMecha show. However, an unnamed higher-up in Bandai Namco proposed to feature a line-up with Unexpected Characters and new challenges, one of which is the approval of Space Battleship Yamato getting in. Even current Super Robot Wars series producer Takenobu Terada was surprised the publisher allowed this to happen.

** Subverted intentionally with the regular edition: although there's no news whether it will be released outside of Southeast Asia or not, the Asian version of the game was released in multiple languages, one of them being English. Since the systems it's on (Sony PlayStation 4, Sony PlayStation Vita and Nintendo Switch) all lack any form of UsefulNotes/RegionCoding, English-speaking fans from anywhere in the world can import the game from major SEA markets (usually Hong Kong or Singapore) and run it just fine. No fan translation or anything else required!
