• Creator's Favorite: This episode is unsurprisingly a favorite of Christopher Judge, who loved having the chance to more fully explore Teal'c's backstory and to see the journey towards pulling the Heel–Face Turn on Apophis in the pilot.
• Troubled Production: Minor example. When Teal'c and Bra'tac's sparring sessions were filmed, the production team didn't expect snow at the exterior location. So, poor Christopher Judge had to be shirtless for the first scene and end up on the ground for multiple takes.
