• What Could Have Been:
  • In the Episode 38 After Talk, the author mentions that they originally had plans to include the Vostroyan Firstborns as one of the regiments occupying Axum. However, he got cold feet at the last minute due to the real-life 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Since the Vostroyans are a Fantasy Counterpart Culture for Cossacks, the author scrapped those plans due to feeling disillusioned with Russian culture and not wanting to do something he felt might glorify Russia while the real-life invasion of Ukraine was going on.
  • This YouTube community post by the author mentions how there were five to six other character subplots/narratives that he had originally planned for the Second Battle of Axum, but ultimately cut them to condense the story and save time.
    • 1313 was originally one of these cut characters, but the author chose to include him in a special episode and officially introduced him in the series after the positive reception given to 1313.
    • One of these subplots would have involved a Crimson Razors Techmarine also being present aboard the Hellsmasher during the Jedi counterattack and using booby traps to stop the Jedi who were moving through the ship's Warp engines.
  • Episode 45 was originally titled "The Light is Seen" until the author changed it to "The Light Flares" right before the episode's release. Signs of this last-minute change can be seen in the original version◊ of this episode's cover art thumbnail.
