• Troubled Production: The baby scene was the most difficult part of the episode. The producers decided that an animatronic baby would be easier to use than a real baby. For reasons known only to them, they decided to hire the creators of Chucky to build it. The result was predictably creepy, but when they shot the scene in which Dukat presents the baby, Marc Alaimo looked like he was showing off a new toy and this produced a big laugh on set. In the end, the scene was redone with a real baby.
