• Inspiration for the Work: The plot about Jerry creating a funny voice based on his girlfriend's stomach was based on Spike Feresten, who had a similar inside joke with the rest of the writers' room about imagining his girlfriend's butt talking to him while she slept (it was changed to her stomach in the episode to avoid the joke coming off too vulgar). Later, he decided to tell his girlfriend about it and her offended reaction inspired the way Claire reacts to the joke within the episode.
