• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The game was removed from digital distribution on the same day Systemic Reaction announced they were cancelling development. While it still can be played in the immediate future and does have a single-player component, because it is a live service game with an always online requirement, when the servers are shut down in 2024 it will effectively be defunct.
• Schedule Slip: The game (which is incomplete) was originally supposed to be finished and come out of Early Access in late 2022, but this was pushed back due to the lingering impact of the Covid pandemic. A March 2023 release was announced, but the date came and nothing happened. As of July 2023 there has been no word from the developers regarding the game at all. Avalanche Studios, of which Systemic Reaction is an offshoot, is known for having a very "anti-crunch" work ideology, and this does often result in very extended delays when it comes to updates or fixes, as demonstrated by Generation Zero in which major issues would often be left unfixed for several months. Ultimately, Systemic Reaction decided to cancel the game rather than spend the additional funds required to bring it to completion.
