- Content Leak: The game's existence was first revealed under its Working Title Project Ronin in October 2022, as one of several leaked titles listed in an internal document for Sony's X Dev team.
- Duelling Works: Released on the same day as Dragon's Dogma II with both releasing on the exact same day and both being open world Action RPGs with elaborate combat systems, Ronin being PlayStation 5 exclusive title while Dragon's Dogma II is a multiplatform release. To a lesser extent, Princess Peach: Showtime! which was a rival console exclusive title that released on the same day.
