Trivia / Red Dwarf Season XII "Siliconia"

• The Cast Showoff: The Dwarfers who get turned into Mechanoids start sounding like one. Specifically Kryten. Even though all of them undergo this, Chris Barrie gets the most lines, and is clearly the best at it. Barrie was an impressionist before becoming an actor.
• Troubled Production: Chris Barrie did not cope well with the mechanoid prosthetics, and in fact became so ill because of them they lost one or two days' filming (if you look closely during some of the scenes filmed on location, the mechanoid version of Rimmer is only shown from behind or afar). Craig Charles' prosthetics are also visibly falling apart at one point.
