• What Could Have Been: There are some differences between the aired version and the screener version of the pilot.
  • The shots of outside the Pie Hole are very different. Initially, the apartment building was not above the pie crust, and Ned and Olive lived next door to the restaurant rather than above it.
  • The scene with Lily and Vivian is also somewhat different. Initially, after Vivian asks Ned if he liked girls and Ned says "yes", Vivian says, "Didn't want to assume". Also, the shot of Chuck looking in on the conversation was initially another shot of Lily and Vivian talking.
  • The scuba diver Ned brings back to life who was found dead in a lobster tank of a restaurant was initially a nondescript man found dead in a public restroom.
