• What Could Have Been: The "Author's notes" chapter of the first story covers several of these which include:
  • Erin unknowingly being in the middle of a love triangle between Big Mac and her coworker Lucky.
  • A different take on Erin's being outed as a human in which she saved the Crusaders after they'd been abducted by Paul Velchiek.
  • A somewhat larger role for Major Morris in which he was also ponified and served as Erin's backup in Equestria.
  • A couple of different Equestria-side villains (and a brief time where there were no Equestrian villains) before Malachite was ultimately developed.
  • And lastly, an ending for the "no Equestrian villains" version in which the Black Tide won but the world of Harmony was discovered in time for mankind to move there instead.
