- Exiled from Continuity: Word of God claims that the majority of Archie Sonic characters created by former writer Ken Penders will not be featured in the story, due to the author personally having issues with him. Elias Acorn is the noteworthy exception.
- What Could Have Been: The story went through a lot of changes in the development process. For example, it was originally intended to be a straight Pokeshipping story before the writer decided to include Angie as a main character.
- Ash was originally going to be granted the ability by Arceus to identify his Pokemon in the new timeline by a blue aura appearing around them, most likely to make the task of identifying his many Tauros easier. The author however forgot to include this in the Prologue
