- Written for My Kids: The entire album is themed around Martin Gore's divorce with his wife, the two of them clearly having had children together, and her betrayal in his former relationship. Some songs are not themed around the pain revolving around this, but the majority certainly are, with "Precious" and "Lilian" especially sticking out in this regard.
