• First Appearance: Of Hester Sue Terhune, as the Blind School's sighted caretaker and teacher. She becomes a long-term recurring character.
• You Look Familiar: Ketty Lester makes her first appearance as Hester Sue Terhune, but had previously appeared in season 4's "The Fighter", playing Joe Kagan's wife in a flashback sequence (ironically, as Joe later spends much of his time unsuccessfully pursuing Hester Sue!).
