• The Cast Showoff: Acquanetta's swimming qualities were among the reasons she got noticed by Hollywood. As much as the lake scene parallels the swimming pool scene in Cat People, it has the advantage of a monster that actually gets into the water.
• Missing Episode: Jungle Woman was absent from the Son of Shock package Universal put on offer to television stations in 1958. Captive Wild Woman and Jungle Captive were included, but not the film in the middle. It took until 1998 for Jungle Woman to leave the Universal vault with the Universal Horror Classics VHS release.
