• Ascended Fanon: The United Rebel Front originated in this book as a one-line reference to a non-specific "united rebel front", which was misinterpreted as being a specific faction on Halopedia. When this error was then copied into the official Halo Encyclopedia, it managed to survive revisions and become an official faction in the Halo expanded universe, complete with a Leaning on the Fourth Wall in-universe explanation of how the name originated as an unofficial nickname.
