• What Could Have Been: One of the original pitches for this episode was for Preston Northwest to run for mayor and make a deal with Bill, where Bill possesses him in exchange for helping Preston win the election. The writers scrapped it since they didn't want to seem like they were just repeating "Sock Opera", and they realized they needed to do a Gideon episode before the series ended.
