Trivia / Give Yourself Goosebumps

• Creator-Driven Successor: R.L. Stine previously wrote a Gamebook series called Hark. The trademark randomness of the Give Yourself Goosebumps novels was also present on Hark; perhaps even more so. The closest GYG came to reflecting Hark's game design was Into the Jaws of Doom.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Since the line has gone out or print, many of the books can only be purchased second-hand. Unfortunately, many of the books from the latter half of the series (after Craig White took over as cover artist) and almost all of the Special Edition entries are ridiculously expensive with most people trying to sell them for nearly a hundred dollars on websites like Amazon and eBay.
• What Could Have Been: There was a 43rd book which was planned — complete with an illustrated cover depicting the player about to be attacked by a horde of angry penguins, but that book was never published before the series' cancellation. It doesn't even have a known title.
