• Technology Marches On: Pffft, delivering newspapers. In the 31st century even.
• Throw It In!: Fry's messed-up response of "No I'm... doesn't" was actually a mistake on Billy West's part, but it was so funny and fitting for Fry's character (and Dwight's line about how alcohol makes you stupid) that it was used.
• Troubled Production: The episode took a long time to complete as Bumper Robinson, who played Dwight at the time, left the States for a film role in China for ten months and wasn't available to re-record some lines for almost a year. The DVD Commentary was recorded before the episode aired because of the lengthy delay.
