Inspiration for the Work: The idea of Lincoln remaining estranged with with his family and not being able to reconcile with them, even if he can end his relationship with most of them in better terms was inspired by the end of a NSL fanfic called Long Lost Loud.
What Could Have Been: Dough originally planned for Stella to be a former homeless girl who was adopted by the Zhau family and for Lincoln to be dead and a deadpan ghost bounded to Stella and being remembered as a pest.
Word of Gay: On the updated note from the second part of the prologue, as a way to celebrate Pride Month, Dough comfirms that Stella is bisexual as a homage to Luz, his OC called Liberty Leal is lesbian, and Lucy is aro-ace.
Jordancoln will happen into the context of the AU in a slow-burn fashion due to Lincoln practically burning his bridges with everyone he knew.
