• What Could Have Been: The page for the book on Wayne Barlowe's website features two pictures labeled under "Expedition II……?", indicating a possible sequel set on a different planet. The two pictures are a landscape of a rocky desert with some evidence of civilization, called "Belon" and picture of an aquatic creature in its habitat called "Marine Xenomorph". But so far nothing else has come out of this idea.
