• Follow the Leader: As a World War II First-Person Shooter, the influences of Call of Duty and Medal of Honor are clear. Notably, Enemy Front came out at a time when World War II shooters had faded from popularity after the blockbuster success of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The last major Call of Duty and Medal of Honor games to feature a World War 2 theme, Call of Duty: World at War and Medal of Honor: Airborne, had both came out several years before Enemy Front, and thus Enemy Front had the distinction of being the only major non-fantasy World War 2 shooter released during its time period. It wasn't until the 2017 release of Call of Duty: WWII, the 2018 release of Battlefield V, and the VR-exclusive 2020 release of Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond that the major franchises would revisit the World War 2 setting.
