• What Could Have Been:
  • The original script was apparently darker, but was deemed too scary for small children. Rupert Degas as Diesel 10's planned voice actor was replaced for similar reasons.
  • Splatter, Dodge, and Dennis were planned to return, but were replaced with new characters Paxton, Sidney, and Norman, who are based on the same diesel engines.
