This is the first of only two episodes in which Mac does not wear his Detective Bureau pin. He is summoned to a crime scene at the Statue of Liberty before disembarking his plane from his London vacation and does not stop anywhere throughout the episode to change into his usual work attire. (The other is "Indelible." He isn't working for the NYPD in the present-day portions, and in the flashbacks, he had not yet received it.)
