- Executive Meddling:
- A minor example with the game's producing company, Contrail, who by appearances only requested one alteration to the game. Namely that the developers had to add something "urban" to the game. This resulted in the addition of the highway overpass, which is featured on four of the game's screens.
- Sony themselves demanded the addition of the fishing minigame. This resulted in the game's development time being slightly prolonged, and pushed back its planned release date from 1999 to 2000.
