• Colbert Bump: The series received a major one in 2020 when Homestar Runner dressed as Bod in that year's Halloween toon, with a recreation of the opening theme and Homestar "singing" the theme song.^note  The Brothers Chaps, the creators of Homestar Runner, have acknowledged their debt of influence to Bod in multiple interviews.
• Missing Episode: Only seven of the thirteen Alberto the Frog segments are known to exist, the remaining having been wiped by the BBC. This came during a large wiping of children's shows from the 1970s in 1993. Five episodes survived the purge and were presented on the Bod DVD. A sixth was recovered from an old VHS, and in 2020, one of the lost segments, the one from "Bod and the Grasshopper", mysteriously turned up.
