- Disowned Adaptation: to say that Christine Weston Chandler was displeased about would be a massive understatement, with her main points of contention being the depiction of "her" characters, the gore and not only the fact that the title character was a mockery of her, but also the fact that it had Aspergersnote . It led to her engaging on a months-long battle against his creator, Alec Benson Leary with many events developing both in real life AND the comic itself. At the end, she ended up letting go of the whole deal.
- Lying Creator: Alec Benson Leary used to deny that Asperchu was meant to be a parody of Christine Weston Chandler, which was obviously a lie, since anyone with at least some knowledge of her could notice many similarities between themnote . Given how Christine reacted to the webcomic, it's clear he was just feigning ignorance, as it was especifically designed to push her buttons.
- What Could Have Been: Alec admitted that if Aspergers weren't trending on Christine's website at the time, the webcomic would've instead been called "Homochu".
