• The attack on the Community Center in episode 12. To add insult to injury, Kira runs all the way over to the scene just to see if there's at least one person still alive, but he finds no one. Even worse, he sees what appears to be an unconscious child lying under a pile of debris. It turns out to be a kid's shoe. With blood on it. You do the math.
• Onimaru's Heroic Sacrifice in episode 16.
• "The Howl Through My Fangs" is all about Greyfus befriending a terminally ill girl named Shiori. You know she's gonna die at some point, but what made the episode heartwrenching was when a Darknoid attacked the hospital she was staying in, which helped speed up her death. After desperately trying to save her, Greyfus fails, and he ends up breaking down sobbing after they share one last heartwarming conversation.
  Shiori: "Thank you, Sir Wolfman. I'm sorry...I can't...teach you...origami..."
• Touya dying shortly after the Beast Warriors and Kira find him.
• And then immediately after that, there's Kira's Heroic Sacrifice in order to bring Touya Back from the Dead.
  • And then immediately after that, Tedium starts crying for the very first time ever in the show, and he gives Touya a major "The Reason You Suck" Speech that practically breaks his heart. He even went as far as telling Touya that he should've been the one who died, not Kira, and that his death was his fault.
  • While all this is happening, the other Beast Warriors don't say a thing. They just stand there, completely silent, and you don't know why. Are they too shocked over Kira's death to say anything? Do they feel exactly the same way as Tedium, but choose to keep their mouths shut because they're too polite to add insult to injury? Or have they become so hardened by all the tragedies that they've suffered that Kira's death wasn't even a big deal to them and they just wrote it off as a necessary sacrifice?
• Konoha and Touya finally reuniting in the finale, moments before she finds out that Kira didn't make it back alive.
