"Why are you sorry?"
Pretty Blood, for some people, does its job well at being both visceral and horrifying. Unfortunately for some, due to its excessive display of torture on those who really never deserved it in the first place, some moments can really be disheartening.As this is a Moments Page, expect to see lots of unmarked spoilers. - "Pretty Blood: Rinny" shows Nappy getting brutally beaten up and murdered by her own mother, whom she was really happy to see a few moments ago. It's little moments like these that hint at Rinny acting all caring and loving towards her daughter before this suddenly happened.
- Even worse is Nappy's reactions and gut-wrenching screams, as if to question why her own mother would suddenly hurt her.
- The ending shows the distraught ghost of Nappy looking forlornly at the house where her life was taken away.
- Rina Pompom being reduced to a vegetative state at the end of Technical. A stark contrast to the once happy and cheerful girl.
- The themes present in the series about the sudden loss of innocence. You have the Malinos, ordinarily happy-go-lucky animal creatures who go about their daily lives peacefully, having their entire psyche and mental state utterly destroyed.
- Sometimes, they wish for death to end their suffering.
- Other times, their anger gets the better of them, and they wish cruel and murderous vengeance upon those who hurt them.
- Even those offering help to these tortured souls aren't immediately considered trustworthy.
- Every single scene where a Malino is crying in pain. Even worse when the pain is substantially drawn out.
