Tear Jerker / Front Mission 2

• The introduction video and background story of of Front Mission 2 demonstrates the saying "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." : The country of Alordesh is a major hub of industry and manufacturing that was tailored to excel at and become dependent on military production. Because of this, the country had become too invested in wanzer production which allowed it to experience an economic boom during the First Huffman Conflict but then suffered a recession after the end of that war. Afterwards, the country requested economic aid from the OCU to recover from its stagnation but was told that they would only receive it by formally joining the OCU. This decision turned out to be another mistake as Alordesh didn't receive the economic aid as promised by the OCU but failed to notice this breach of agreement as they were experiencing another economic boom by producing and selling wanzers for the Second Huffman Conflict. History repeats itself once again as Alordesh suffers from an even bigger, more painful recession after the end of the Second Huffman Conflict, resulting in a wave of Anti-OCU sentiment among the working class and military of Alordesh who firmly believe that they've been betrayed and taken for granted by the OCU.
