Tear Jerker / Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget

  • While upbeat and heartwarming, the montage of Molly growing up can be this for parents, especially during Rocky's confusion at his daughter's seemingly sudden height difference.
  • The fact that Ginger is still clearly traumatized from her life at Mrs. Tweedy's farm, with her getting flashbacks and nightmares about the woman. This is also sadly Truth in Television or all too relatable for viewers who have or know someone suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
  • Ginger looks ready to cry when she sees the truck taking her daughter into Fun-Land Farms. Luckily, she's a tough hen and soon becomes determined to break her daughter out.
  • Shortly after Molly and Frizzle realize that something’s wrong in Fun-Land Farms, Frizzle has a collar put on which renders her brainless and unable to even recognise Molly. Not only is Molly in a strange and scary place, but her only friend is now a prisoner to the mind control mechanism. Even if it's for a brief moment, all Molly can do is sit down and cry, scared and upset about the situation. Luckily, she's her mother's daughter, so it doesn't take long for her to become determined to find out what's going on.
  • When a collared chicken is programmed to walk straight into the grinder, Ginger desperately whispers for the chicken to run but it's futile. It wouldn't be too far off to imagine she's reliving Edwina's death and/or her own experience in the pie machine all over again as she steers Molly away to avoid exposing her to a potentially traumatizing situation.
  • After the entire main cast gets trapped in a corn silo, Molly finally breaks down and starts crying again, feeling completely responsible for everything that has happened. And as if that wasn't enough, Rocky and Ginger feel responsible for Molly's actions too, the former because he told her about his days as the "Lone Free Ranger" and the latter because of her overprotective parenting.
