Honerva intends to exploit her connection with the Paladins, who are strategizing back at the Atlas. Since they cannot directly chase after Honerva because Allura is unconscious, they are left preparing for battle. Keith comforts Lance about the situation as Hunk, Coran, Romelle, and Tavo head to a nearby Balmera to obtain energy for Slav and Sam's proposed weapon upgrades. The Atlas's bridge discovers a long-range scout and sends a squad of rebels to observe. They instead find one of Honerva's Robeasts, which makes easy work of them.
Honerva wormholes to the star system containing Altea and Daibazaal, which the team assumes to be where she intends to bend realities. At Allura's bedside, Lance pleads with her to wake up, and she does so. The ship wormholes to Honerva's location. Honerva has three mechs waiting for the Atlas, and brainwashes the Atlas's rescued Alteans to attack the crew and take the Atlas's crystal. In one of the mechs, Merla expresses concern that the energy will kill the Alteans; when Honerva dismisses this, Merla fires on her.
The Yellow Lion returns with the Balmera in tow. Honerva attempts to drain its Quintessence and successfully deflects the lions' attacks. Honerva shoots Merla's mech and combines her ship with the Sincline.
