After a failed date, Rarity consoles herself by venting to Twilight. During her casual rant, she mentions she can usually predict how a date's going to turn out within the first three minutes or so.
Naturally, Twilight takes this entirely the wrong way, seizing upon the idea of "speed dating". And, as the mare who inspired it, guess who gets to be part of the test group?

- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Towards the end of the story, Twilight starts talking about the possibility of giving a huge test to everypony in the realm, ranking compatibility among multiple axes, including quaraxing. This would be accompanied by taking their pictures, putting all the data into a really big book, and then working out a spell which would let the book sort of the information internally, so that a pony could stand in front of the book, call off all their own scores, and then watch as the tome flipped open to the one pony who matched their profile. She's coming very close to inventing a text-based form of online dating and the concept of "search engine."
