Recap / Tracker S1E16 "Dark Road Home"

Go To

Cole finds a videotape with the train passengers, although Nestov accidentally tapes it over. Still, Cole manages to spot a man he assumes to be one of Zin's closest henchmen, Yhir. Rudy, his host body, had escaped from a mental hospital before being taken, and has since been returned there. Cole has himself checked into the same institution as a patient. He makes a number of friends among the patients and manages to get some information from Yhir, even though he's heavily medicated. Yhir confirms that the metal triangle is a key of some kind. Then Yhir remembers who he really is and uses his Desserian abilities to escape. Cole is injected with several drugs, and the doctor is taking him to the basement. The other patients decide to help Cole and free him. Yhir sneaks into Mel's car and threatens her to drive him somewhere, but Cole uses hyperspeed to reach them and take his life force. Meanwhile, Nestov convinces Mel to hire Bunny as a new bartender, except Bunny's way of attracting clientele involves exotic dancing, which earns Mel a citation from the police.

  • Bedlam House: Averted. Everyone seems to genuinely want to help the mentally ill, and Cole is treated with kindness, even allowed daily visits from Mel, who claims to be his half-sister. And the patients are non-violent.
  • Family-Friendly Stripper: Bunny uses exotic dancing to attract male clientele to the bar. Mel is reluctant to try it but admits that the money is good. Right up until a cop walks in a fines Mel for not having a strip club license.
