- Chekhov's Gun: Professor Professor's uninventing ray ends up uninventing itself after shooting a beam that bounces off of several reflective surfaces before finally hitting it. Later, when the world is forced to use prehistoric technology, Victor and Anita figure out that they can get Doctor Doctor's uninventing ray to uninvent itself by tricking her into firing onto the reflective surface of a nearby lake.
