After their house was severely damaged, the Boulevardez temporarily stay with the Prouds until it gets repaired. Penny finds out a big secret about LaCienega during Swim class.

- Adults Are Useless: Penny’s complaints on LaCienega’s dislike of her fall on the deaf ears of the adults. When she tells her mother that LaCienega is evil, the girl thanks the Prouds for letting her family stay with them. Trudy’s answer to Penny?: "Well, if that’s being evil, you should try it sometime." The morning after when Penny complains that LaCienega locked her out of the bathroom, Oscar finds out that it was not locked at all.
- Bait-and-Switch: Rather than due to fire damage, the Boulevardez have to repair their house because a crazy fireman insists on needlessly flooding their house.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: "Everyone thinks she’s Little Miss Perfect, but I know better!" says Penny on LaCienega's two-faced personality. While she is genuinely friendly to her family, neighbors and friends, she is rude and condescending to Penny.
- The Cavalry Arrives Late: Oscar and Felix have the fire under control by the time the Fire Department arrives. Unfortunately, the crazy fire chief insists on hosing the house, flooding it.
- Character Development: Penny initially laughed at LaCienega's huge feet, but later on, the former becomes concerned when the latter becomes depressed because everyone else is taking the teasing too far. Trudy praises Penny for being concerned and becoming mature despite LaCienega not being her favorite person.
- Inelegant Blubbering: LaCienega has been keeping Penny awake with her crying. After Penny started talking about it with Oscar, her crying got louder and messier.
- Obnoxious In-Laws: When Sunset suggests they stay with her mother, Felix retorts that his mother-in-law sees him as a bum and wonders why the two of them are still married.
- Took a Level in Kindness: Subverted with LaCienega who stays the same because Status Quo Is God.
- We Want Our Jerk Back!: After her huge feet are exposed, causing her to get laughed at, LaCienega falls into a deep depression, ignoring Penny when the latter insults her. Penny is so worried and bummed that she admits that she likes LaCienega better when she's being a snob.
