On the Global News Network, Anna Otonashi interviews Admiral William Stenz of the GDF. Anna asks how the GDF is planning to cooperate with the Defenders as well as deal with Red Dawn. He says each team will have a telepath to allow them to communicate and coordinate with their Kaiju allies. She asks what they will do with the surviving Mutations and neutral Kaiju. He says it's a case by case basis. If they agree to stop attacking cities, they will be spared, if not, they will be put down. He activates a hologram of their latest battle platform, Gungnir, which has enough firepower to kill an average Kaiju. It also has a lot of drones and infantry to deal with human-sized threats like the Alien Coalition and Red Dawn.

He then talks about Aschendaele's battle with Vishnu the other day and explains that mechs of that nature were designed for human scale conflicts and it was deployed as a last resort. Anna questions the wisdom of working on human scale conflicts when there are still dangerous Kaiju and Stenz says they can't afford to be complacent; the evil aliens could return at any time. Anna asks what's the deal with Red Dawn. Stenz says it started out as Red Bamboo in the 1980's, a group that tried to use advanced Mysterian technology to hold cities for ransom. They were easily defeated and treated as a minor nuisance. But now old Red Bamboo operatives are resurfacing in Red Dawn, and they've been trying to wipe out whole cities for no apparent reason. They make no demands of money or power. Now they've gained the technology to control Kaiju's minds, and used it to make the normally peaceful Vishnu attack Brisbane. Such an act is unforgivable, and the GDF is going all out to stop them, including designing exosuits for their soldiers. Anna asks about the new Kaiju who recently visited GDF headquarters. Stenz has no idea what she is talking about, so she shows footage of Zilla, Titanosaurus, and Tytanna approaching headquarters and then Tytanna taking on human form and being clothed by Sal before being escorted into the building. While Anna goes into Cuteness Proximity over Tytanna's appearance, Stenz has the opposite reaction and thinks she's something out of a nightmare, and has no idea why she's not being treated as a threat. The interview ends and Anna bids Stenz farewell. Stenz rushes to the bathroom and throws up.

Somewhere in a remote, rundown house in Japan, Takaki Aso, former commander of G-Force and founder of the GDF, watches the interview on the news and is shocked at seeing Tytanna. He calls in his son, Ryujin, who is also shocked by what he is seeing, then says they are through with hiding. It is time to see Pentecost and Joanne Johnson.

An abnormally huge submarine-like vessel docks at GDF headquarters, but most of the workers are jaded to this sort of thing and get back to work.

In their room, Lauren Faust and Craig McCracken look out the window and are in awe of the ship. Lauren asks why they haven't been sent home yet. They've already told the GDF everything they know about Equestria and don't think they can contribute anymore. Craig suddenly gets a message from the studio saying that in future episodes of MLP, Princess Cadence will be pregnant and eventually give birth to an Alicorn. Lauren gets pissed. Turning Twilight Sparkle into an Alicorn was one thing, but this has crossed the line. She rants that Alicorns are supposed to be an ultimate ideal, and introducing new ones cheapens it and sends the wrong message. Craig argues that Twilight becoming an Alicorn didn't change her personality and make her an unrelatable god; she's still the same bookworm, but Lauren remains adamant.

Joanne Johnson knocks on their door. After first remarking that she's a big fan of theirs, she asks where the cafeteria is because she is lost. They say it is five floors down; just take the elevator. She doesn't know where the elevators are. Incredulous, they lead her to the cafeteria because it is time for lunch anyway. Joanne ravenously devours her food, saying she had been on a ship for half a year eating nothing but fish and snails and it's good to finally have meat. She talks about how she is a biogenetist who created Tytanna, causing them to gawk. She is proud of her daughter and says she even has a human boyfriend, shocking the couple even more. She offers to show them her ship, the Langoud. Pentecost sends Joanne a text asking her to report to the docks, and she says it's a good opportunity to see the ship. She then sheepishly admits she can't remember how to get to the docks.

The couple lead Joanne to the docks, where they see the robot Jet Jaguar. Craig jokes that with his size changing ability, he might be a transformer, but the girls think that reference was dumb. They see M.O.G.E.U.R.A. is repaired, and then the giant ship that came in, the Langoud. Pentecost greets them, then comments he asked Joanne to come alone. But he decides it's okay, as Lauren and Craig have clearance to top secret info as long as they don't blab it to outsiders, and he'll use them to gauge how the public would react to what they are about to learn. The Langoud is loaded with new technology and he wants Joanne to show them around. Lauren and Craig say that's not a good idea, but Joanne insists that the ship has holographic assistance technology and she'll be able to find her way around, then beckons the group inside.
