Recap / The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You Ch 138

Go To

Uto and Eira are on their way to meet Rentarou, Chiyo, and Rin at a cafe to try a couples-only parfait. They encounter a road block, then another, causing Uto to express concern that they'll be late, which in turn causes Eira to panic - she can't take out tardiness with a kick, after all.

Uto unsuccessfully tries to reassure her, but Eira ultimately decides to just charge on ahead... only to encounter another road block sign. She picks Uto up and starts to run as Uto texts the others to let them know that there's been a delay. Chiyo and Rin message them back, revealing that they're also running into road blocks. Rentarou reassures them that it's fine, and that they can postpone the meeting for an hour.

This convinces Eira to stop running, but it isn't until Uto convinces her to take in her surroundings that she starts to relax. They run into Chiyo, who got distracted by a cat. This frightens Eira, who ends up hurting herself as she rolls away. Luckily, she keeps bandaids on her. When she tries to pull them out, however, she can't find them. The three continue on their way, but Chiyo, noticing that Eira is still worried about germs, pulls out one of her own bandaids.

They run into Rin and another road block. The owner of a nearby arcade offers them a way around the construction, but they have to clear one of his games first. Rin notices a Resident Evil booth and decides to play. Chiyo also steps up, reasoning that it'll go faster with two people. This works out fine, since Uto doesn't like jumpscares and Eira can't kick zombies in a game. She offers to at least pay for it, but Chiyo and Rin insist that they can do so on their own.

This bothers Eira, who ends up insisting on playing alongside Rin. Unsurprisingly, she ends up panicking, leaving it to Rin to handle the game. She thanks her as they leave the arcade, but she still feels guilty for having to rely on the three of them despite being the oldest.

Suddenly, they hear someone calling for them to catch her dog. Chiyo wonders if it's a runaway dog, but as it turns out, the dog has actually hijacked a bulldozer while the construction worker was taking his allergy medication. The dog sends Eira into a panic, but the sight of the other three in fear rouses her to kick the bulldozer hard enough that the dog goes flying. She catches it, but doesn't notice until the others point it out. The dog jumps out of her arms as she panics.

Eira is embarrassed that she once again panicked, but Rin points out that her being afraid means that she is very conscientous when others are scared. That kindness is why they like her so much. The dog owner and construction worker thank them, and the group is on their way. They run into one final road block sign. A worker says that normally such a job would have taken all day and night, but thankfully a young man showed up and started working like mad so that the work would get cleared up faster.

The young man, of course, is Rentarou. This frees the path to cafe up.

The chapter ends with a shot of the cafe.
