- Awesome, but Impractical: Donatello invents a machine that helps slice pizza more efficiently, but it eviscerates their pizza instead.
- Dumbass No More: In his last appearance, Slash was a Psychopathic Manchild. Here his time in outer-space apparently did wonders for him intellectually, having been enhanced by a race of super-intelligent aliens. He even speaks in a British inflection. At the ending, however, he ends up reverting to his old self after the turtles trick him into jump over the edge of a building.
- Is This Thing Still On?: Vernon accidentally calls turtles disgusting on-air right after giving a less scathing report about a new turtle habitat. Donatello, who had been watching, is not amused.
