- End of an Era: Meta example. This is the final episode of Stargate written by Universe co-creator and longtime franchise writer/producer Robert C. Cooper. Even if Universe had continued onto Season Three, this still would've been Cooper's swansong (as it had already announced he would be leaving the franchise at the end of Season Two).
- Shrouded in Myth – one of the colonists' legends is that Rush is a demon who steals souls.
