First Day of School Episode: A form of this, as Big Bird is actually a guest of a Street kid named Kathy. Basic parts of the school day are played out, including math and letters, recess, socializing and basic classroom etiquette.
A recycled insert from 1977, "School Song," where kindergarten-aged children ride a school bus wondering what the first day of school will be like, before scenes from their first day of school play out. note (Hard to believe, but in 2022, most of the children in the insert will have or had just months earlier celebrated their 50th birthday.)
