J.D. gets more than he bargained for after he convinces Carla to open up to him. Elliot still hasn't learned not to seek Cox's approval.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Eliot tries to get Cox's attention by offering to be his bad news guy. He realizes what she's doing and punishes her by giving her all the bad news in the wing, his patients and other doctors'. She's left a sobbing mess. He uses it to teach her that she needs to focus on being a good doctor and stop fighting so hard to be noticed by assholes like him.
- I Have to Go Iron My Dog: At Carla's urging, Kelso says he has to go talk to Mrs. hlkjkjl down in floplopinics instead of giving the nurses bad news because she's in a mood.
- Insult Backfire: Turk mocks Bonnie's attempt at smack talk and she turns it around, making him feel bad.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Kelso, sexist prick, leaves it up to Turk to decide who gets to go to the conference with him. Bonnie's an asshole about it, so Turk decides to screw both of them and stick Kelso with the Todd for the week.
- Straw Misogynist: Kelso invites Turk along to a conference because he's a sexist piece of shit and doesn't want to take Bonnie, a woman.
- Too Dumb to Live: JD's and Carla's patient will literally die if he eats red meat and he can't turn down a cheap burger.
- What the Hell, Hero?: On his third visit, Carla and JD both call their patient out hard for still eating meat.
- Carla also slams JD for telling Turk about her insecurities. After JD makes multiple attempts to apologize, she eventually forgives him.
- When She Smiles: Cox gives a genuine smile of respect at Eliot passing up an invitation to sit and eat lunch with him, having learned the lesson he was trying to teach.
