- Incest Subtext: Subverted for laughs. Schlock suggests that Breya is in love with Kevyn, and is disappointed that she means she loves him like a brother—because he's her brother. According to Schlock, it's not a real sci-fi story unless someone is unexpectedly revealed to be related to someone they're in love with.
- Mugging the Monster: A very stupid thief decides to rob an upscale restaurant while a team of mercenaries are eating there. Apparently the coroner had to resort to evidence bags.
